Michael is a retired FBI Special Agent in Charge. During his 24 year career, Michael investigated crimes ranging from white collar to bank robberies, organized crime, drug trafficking and money laundering.  His professional travels took him to Israel, Russia, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia  and Thailand. 

Prior to joining the FBI, Michael served as a police officer for three years with the Fairfax County VA police department on patrol, in plain clothes and as a hostage negotiator.

After retiring, Michael founded SPIRIT Asset Protection, LLC as a security and risk management consulting firm. 

Michael is a sought after keynote speaker for corporate events. With a colorful New York personality and accent, his presentations are interactive, exciting and full of true crime stories.                         

Appearing often on national and local news stations, Michael is a commentator on high profile crime matters.  He has appeared on CNN, HLN, Al Jazeera, Huffington Post Live, WCBS radio, Sirius radio and interviewed by the New York Times.

Michael is the author of three books, Walking the Corporate Beat: Police School for Business People as well as crime novels, Midnight Sin and Bad Intent.
